SAP Convergent Invoicing is an add-on component of Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable, and it offers an opportunity to visualise complex and convergent billing and invoicing processes.
Convergent Invoicing enables the billing and invoicing of priced and hence chargeable items. Chargeable items can be generated from an SAP system (SAP CC) and/or a non-SAP system, or they can be directly generated in SAP CI (billing plan). By using SAP CI, it is possible within Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable to navigate from an invoice posted in SAP FI-CA, via the invoice, the billing document through to the individual chargeable items because that information is available.
